2026 Slate of Candidates Announcement

 

The Nominating and Leadership Recruitment Committee (NLRC) is proud to announce the 2026 Slate of Candidates.

Candidates are selected based on their competencies as demonstrated in their Letter of Interest application, interview and reference feedback. The Nominating and Leadership Recruitment Committee developed Competencies and Criteria for slated candidates based on a needs assessment and leadership feedback.

2026 Slated Officer Candidates (2026-2029 Term)

The National PTA Bylaws allow individuals to self-nominate for these positions. Consistent with the Elections Policy, as outlined in the Governance Policy Manual, individuals wishing to self-nominate must have been considered by the NLRC through the Letter of Interest. The election will be held during the 2026 National PTA Convention, June 18-20.

Committee Appointments

National PTA is currently seeking candidates interested in serving on a National PTA Committee for the next term of office. Committee members will be reviewed by the National Leadership Recruitment Committee, then appointed by the National PTA President within 14 days of the election of officers and approved by the Board of Directors.

National PTA Standing Committees: Bylaws; Diversity, Inclusion and Outreach; Field Service; Legislation; Membership; and Resolutions

(Subject to Change) National PTA Special Committees: Convention; Elections

Youth Member Representative on the National PTA Board of Directors: The President of National PTA, with approval of the Board of Directors, appoints these members. Youth members must be at least 18 years of age but not older than 22 years of age on the date of the appointment.

Completed LOIs must be submitted to National PTA's Nominating and Leadership Recruitment Committee (NLRC) via this online form by 11:59 p.m. EST Sunday, March 15.
